🌿 Our Autumn Sale Is Here

Azalea - 4 pcs. - Rhododendron azalea 'Anouk' - Height 25-40cm - ⌀17cm

Description

Rhododendron azalea 'Anouk' is also known as Japanese azalea. Japanese azalea is a collective name for a group of rhododendrons that grow naturally in Japan. They are all compact growing plants with rich blooms in spring. Rhododendron azalea 'Anouk' blooms beautifully in the months of April/May with pale pink flowers that contrast nicely with the dark green leaves. The shrub is evergreen so it has leaves in winter. It is a slow grower and therefore stays low and compact. An ideal colorful addition for the somewhat smaller garden or planting in flower pots. Some of the leaves are shed by the azalea in winter to make way for new leaves in spring.

Care
Rhododendrons are in general easy garden plants which need a certain care. This is mainly the soil in which the garden plant stands. It must have sufficient moisture and low acidity. The humus in the soil is usually provided by plants in the garden themselves with, among other things, fallen leaves: these stop evaporation and ensure that the soil retains moisture. We call such a cover of fallen leaves a mulch layer. Therefore, do not remove fallen leaves around the roots. When planting Rhododendron azalea 'Anouk' in a pot, it is also important here that the plant gets enough water and occasionally some peat litter. Plant the garden plant in new soil and a slightly larger pot. Prune only to keep it in shape, best shortly after flowering.

Size
The plants have a height of 25-40cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 17cm.
