Hortensia - 3 pcs. - Hydrangea paniculata 'Silver Dollar' - H25-40cm - ⌀9cm

Description

Hydrangea paniculata 'Silver Dollar' is a very hardy and profusely flowering panicle hydrangea. It flowers from June to September with large white panicle-shaped pointed flower clusters. They retain their ornamental value well into winter. Hydrangea paniculata 'Silver Dollar' is hardy and deciduous. If you prune this panicle hydrangea every spring, the plant will not grow as tall, but will get more and larger flowers. It grows up to a maximum height of 125 cm and about 120 cm in width.

Care
With Hydrangeas, it is important to cut off the spent flowers. In winter, however, these are best left alone. They then form a protection for the new flower buds against frost and inclement winds. In March, when the danger of frost has passed, all brown, old, spent flowers can be pruned back to just above the first or second healthy bud. This type of pruning encourages the growth of new shoots and ensures that flower size does not decline. All types of Hydrangeas absolutely do not like drought. When dry, especially in spring and summer, water them vigorously. It is not wise to water them occasionally. It is best to give them a large amount of water at once. Sometimes during the flowering season, Hydrangeas become a little bare at the bottom. Also, the leaves may turn yellow. This is almost always caused by drought.

Size
The plants have a height of 25 to 40cm upon delivery (measured incl. pot). The plants are supplied in pots with a diameter/diameter of 9cm.
